Job Posting – GIS Analyst

Hybrid Fibre/Coaxial Telecommunications

Keyworks is seeking skilled candidates to perform new data entry, verification, and submission of Hybrid Fibre/Coaxial telecommunications plant information into standardized GIS format.  As a CAD Data Entry specialist, you will assist the project team in the preparation and migration of data from legacy mapping solutions into SpatialNet GIS. Successful candidates will be responsible to deliver results that meet or exceed our targeted commitments to our clients.

Job Description:

  • Perform data entry of maps into legacy systems in preparation for data migration
  • Production of new documentation on processes and standards utilized
  • Assist in the verification of data for entry into SpatialNet GIS
  • Perform variance clearing of migrated data in SpatialNet GIS
  • Perform the new entry of offsets and infrastructure attachments of Coax, & Fibre data

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with various industry specific applications such as Bentley MicroStation would be a definite asset
  • Telecommunications related CAD drafting would be an asset
  • Direct or related experience in telecommunications plant design, terminology and construction standards practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of various database solutions designed to track and coordinate assets
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Astute observation and listening skills
  • Strong computer literacy with a wide range of Window based programs including MS Office suite
